Four of our members travelled to Simi Valley on April 16th for the annual Sierra-Cahuenga District Convention. Fourteen clubs reported on events in their clubs during 2014. Two speakers from the California Federation of Women’s Clubs (CFWC) spoke to members regarding leadership and the benefits of membership.
Mammoth Lakes Women’s Club (MLWC) was proud to receive ten awards in the small club category, honoring our efforts in: fundraising, community service, membership, domestic violence awareness, arts and culture, education, leadership, conservation, communications, and public issues. The awards are a tribute to our members’ efforts in raising as much money as we do for our community, and we should all be proud.
The District Convention is a great source of inspiration and entertainment. It is truly amazing to see the combined efforts of all the Women’s Clubs, and to meet incredible women from all walks of life. We encourage members to join us in the future and experience the power of women.
